Bulrush Day Nursery

I am asking my families due to all that has been going on in the local community this week to come & pick their child up before 5.30pm this evening & tomorrow evening.

This means our staff can get locked up & home to the safety of their own homes.

It has been a strange week so far with a very eerie feel about it.
But here in Bulrush we have tried to stay upbeat & ensure that the children in our care are safe, cared for & learning through play.

International Day of Play is an Annual Global observance celebrated on 11th June to recognize play as a fundamental right for every child.

It highlights the critical role play serves in children's development, mental well-being, and ability to build essential cognitive and social skills.

At Bulrush Day Nursery our aim is to ensure our Children are Learning through Play!

From Translink

Due to expected protests all Translink bus and rail services will be suspended this evening (Wednesday 10 June).

“There will be no bus departures after 5pm and no train services will depart after 6pm.

"There is currently a temporary suspension of some bus services until 1.30pm after which time services will resume.

PLEASE BE MINDFUL IF YOU USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT & MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO COLLECT YOUR CHILD EARLIER IF NEEDED.

Many of our children have already been collected much earlier.

THERE MAY ALSO BE TRAFFIC JAMS DUE TO ALL THE DISRUPTION.

I am aware there has been messages circulated around the community regarding businesses having to close at 11am with alleged road closures due to happen at 1pm.

Here at Bulrush we have decided to stay open as long as we can - ensuring that all the children in our care are kept safe & enjoying learning through play.

The situation may change but we will ensure to keep you updated on My Nursery Pal, our page &/or by telephone.

Can we ask that our last collection is at 5.30pm unless we need to change this to an earlier time.

But we will keep you all well informed.

What a week! The weather was beautiful & we were able to make the most of it with lots of outdoor play for all our age groups!

So much fun was had from water play, sand play, outdoor arts & crafts to our tunnel & climbing frame!

Our Tiny Tots have a small outdoor area where they can have Big Fun!

This area is shaded & the staff ensure to apply suncream also!

It's so nice to be able to see our Bulrush Day Nursery kiddies enjoying this weather.

A reminder Bulrush Day Nursery is CLOSED Monday 25th May for a Bank Holiday.

Our Annual Family evening took place this evening from 6pm to 9pm.

This was an opportunity for our families to come along & speak to the staff regarding their child's development & their day here at Bulrush Day Nursery

We had a great turn out with 34 of our families attending.

Our staff work hard to make this evening go smoothly & as informative as possible with each family getting a 15 minute slot.

Our Annual Family evening will take place this Wednesday. (20th May)

Our last pick up on this evening will be at 5.30pm to give staff a chance to clean, set up & be organised for the first families arriving at 6pm.

All the families who returned their forms will have been sent a time slot from between 6pm to 9pm.

Each family will get a 15 minute time slot to come & speak to a staff member about your child's development & any other questions you have.
