Is tutoring good value?

You would expect a tutoring site to say yes wouldn’t you?

Well it is expensive and if you are doing well in school then it may not be needed, however I will consider some of the benefits over the next few weeks:

1. Confidence……when you are able to talk about a problem and the tutor is able to bring the problem down to the level you are at, it is a relief.

A good tutor will help you grasp the problem, turn it around and show you how simple the problem is.

It can be a relief to talk to an independent support, it gives you an inner strength and it very often spills over to other subjects.

As a parent, I have used tutors for many things and I have found it very good value.

A word of caution you should be talking to an expert, make sure the tutor knows what they are doing. Talk to them about their credentials and experience.

The answer to a question posted on Oct 1st 2013 is that Easter Monday is

April 21st 2014, most schools will be back on Monday 28th April 2014

This is relatively late for revision courses as exams follow very quickly in May
I suggest that both parents and students take note of this and prepare.

1. Check timetables for exams by accessing appropriate websites eg CEA exams for this January can be accessed.

Use this link

2. Are you 100% sure of the Board you are doing and have you a copy of the specification?

If you follow the blog at http://www.academytutoringservices.com/blog/ and have any questions please get in contact with us, I will post regularly and try to help with any queries
