Our Supported Learning students recently enjoyed a visit to Islandmagee Riding Centre as part of our new equine therapy programme in partnership 🐴

Our students learned about health and safety, horse care, riding techniques and communicating with the horses. They gained valuable hands on experience through grooming, stable management and mucking - out.

Not only was this an amazing experience for our learners, they also developed their confidence, communication and team work skills along the way, in a supportive and engaging environment.
Thank you to Islandmagee Riding Centre for working with us to tailor and provide this experience for our students. 💙

We are all looking forward to our future visits to the Riding Centre and seeing this fantastic programme develop!

Our fantastic Level 3 Visual Effects and Digital Art and Animation students had the opportunity to show their talent and hard work at the NextGen Graduate Showcase recently at Banana Block

There were stunning examples of artwork, animation, film and visual effects showing how much these dedicated students have learned on their journey at Belfast Met over the last two years.

Congratulations to the winner of Best Visual Effects Project – Rain Erol and to the winner of the Best Animation project – Harri Sweeney 🏆

We are so proud of all our students, how far they have come and are in no doubt that they have successful careers in the Creative Industries in the years ahead! 🤩

Learning happens everywhere 🌍

This week, Belfast Met joined the preparations for Festival of Play at Stranmillis, exploring how creativity, curiosity and play can support learning and development.

It was fantastic to engage with student teachers, as they participate in the latest CDIT Digital Skills Academy delivered by education professionals, while showcasing the importance of innovative and inclusive approaches to learning.

Because learning isn't just about what we know, it's about how we inspire others to learn ✨💡

Learning brings people together 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

We joined learners from the Belfast Met Digital Skills and Employability programme at the ESOL Showcase Event in Girdwood, celebrating achievements, confidence and progression through learning.

The event highlighted the incredible journeys of learners who are developing new skills, building connections and creating opportunities for their future. The learners showcased their presentation and communication skills as they work towards their OCN qualification in vocational skills 👩‍🏫
