Serious vs Silly play
Not all play looks the same — and that’s the beauty of games.
Some games are “serious play” — building skills, thinking strategically, learning to win and lose well.
Others are pure silly play — laughter, chaos, making up rules, and just having fun.
Both matter, because through games, children aren’t just playing… they’re growing ♟️🧩🎲

Messy play = meaningful play 💛
Whether it’s slime, cornflour, mud or paint, getting messy helps children explore, create, and learn through their senses. It builds fine motor skills, boosts creativity, and lets them express themselves freely—no pressure, just fun! Without the worry of “getting it right” these experiences help develop sensory awareness and boost confidence. Plus, it’s a great way for little ones to relax and enjoy the moment 💛

So yes, it might turn a little chaotic (and require a bit of clean-up 😅), but the benefits are absolutely worth it. Let them get messy—it’s how they grow! 🤗

And just like that June is over, we’ve been that busy the time has just flew by.

We’ve done some crafting, 3D dinosaur painting, made lemonade and vegan brownies, completed an escape room, had pyjama parties and pool days, visited the park and went to the museum. What a month!! 🦕☀️🍋🕷️🤿
