π Congratulations to Clare McElhinney, final-year food student, on securing second place at the Institute of Food Science and Technology NI Future Scientist Competition final!
Clare presented her school engagement project βFood Waste β What is the Problem?β to the panel of food industry professionals, which explored how interactive learning can improve food waste behaviour. Her findings showed that while a single workshop improved understanding, sustained behavioural change requires ongoing, multi-level approaches across subjects.
Well done to all of the finalists, the breadth of research topics and standard of presentations was truly impressive! π
