Essential Criteria
2 years childcare experience in a leadership role
Level 5 CCLD or equivalent
Enthusiasm for CCPD
Desirable Criteria
First Aid / Paediatric First Aid
Child Protection Training
Food Safety Training
Health and Safety Qualification
Forest School Qualification
Clean driver’s licence
Main Purpose of Job
· Take charge of the Nursery in absence of Manager/Proprietor
· Report any issues to Manager/Proprietor
· Assist in writing up the School Collection List or Staff Rota if required.
· Assist in showing prospective parents around the nursery giving information about each room and answering any questions which arise.
· Answer phone in absence of Manager, communicate any messages, information etc to Manager/Proprietor.
· Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed at all times.
· Ensure that all staff adhere to Covid 19 guidelines at all times.
· Ensure that staff ratios are adhered to throughout the nursery
Group leader duties include:
Supervise the day to day care and education of young children. Plan activities, complete developmental reports, liaise with parents, direct nursery assistants.
To work as part of a team and lead by example in providing a safe, caring, happy and stimulating environment for the children in our care.
To ensure that the high standards of care, service, safety and hygiene are maintained according to Hillcrest policies, procedures and routines.
