What a fantastic day for our P4–P7 children at the historic first ever international cricket Test Match held in Northern Ireland at Stormont Cricket Ground ! 🏏

The pupils had an amazing time watching Ireland take on New Zealand, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying a brilliant day of sport, fun and memories together. A day they certainly won’t forget! ☀️👏

Recently, some of our P.4 children joined pupils from Millennium IPS to make their First Holy Communion at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Carryduff.

We are very proud of them and have loved hearing about all of their family celebrations!

🌟 A Special Visit to Our School! 🌟

We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Tracy Kelly, to our school this week!

As part of a recent letter-writing activity, the children were encouraged to write to a well-known person, and we were absolutely thrilled when the Lord Mayor gladly accepted an invitation sent by one of our pupils to visit.

During her visit, Councillor Kelly took part in a fantastic Q&A session with the children, who thoroughly enjoyed learning about her role and hearing about her experiences. They were especially fascinated to hear about the history and importance of the Lord Mayor’s chain of office.

As Councillor Tracy Kelly approaches the final days of her term as Lord Mayor, we would like to thank her for taking the time to visit us and inspire our pupils. We wish her every success for the future!

🏉 Mini Rugby Magic! 🏉

Our Primary School Mini Rugby Team had an unforgettable day at the Ulster RFC Mini Rugby Festival, held at the iconic Ulster Rugby Affidea Stadium! The boys and girls represented the school superbly, playing with fantastic skill, determination, and teamwork—finishing the day undefeated across their three matches. A brilliant achievement!

The experience didn’t stop there! The team were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, kindly led by former Ulster player and parent, Paul Marshall. From the changing rooms to the gym and meeting areas, it was a real insight into life as a professional player.

To top it all off, the pupils had the chance to meet Ulster stars Rob Herring, Zac Ward, Werner Kok, and Stewart Moore—an inspiring moment for all involved!

A huge thank you to Paul Marshall for providing such a special experience, and well done to our team for a fantastic day both on and off the pitch! 💫

🎸Rockin’ Our Learning! 🎸

Our P5 classes had an amazing time joining a live webinar with and mrmoneyjar today!

This was the perfect way to celebrate and ‘round off’ our Money topic and Class Economy. Pupils explored how to manage, save and spend money wisely, applying their maths skills in a fun, real-life context.

It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they’ve developed a deeper understanding of financial skills - and today was a brilliant finale!

Well done P5 - you really ‘rocked it’! 🤘🏼

Our Primary Five pupils have been busy developing their letter writing skills as part of literacy this term!

After carefully planning and writing letters to their chosen celebrities, the children took a trip to the local post box to send them on their way. The excitement was contagious as each letter was posted!

Now comes the hardest part… the waiting!

We are all eagerly hoping for some replies in the weeks ahead.

We were delighted to see Aoife have the special opportunity to visit and play at Croke Park last week, through her club, Carryduff GAC. The club was the only County Down team to be invited this year.

It was a great night at Boundary Brewing for our latest PSA social event 🍻

From incredible curries at Bengal Brasserie Ormeau , to pounding the pavements at the Belfast Marathon, and now sampling craft beer — it’s safe to say our PSA has all tastes covered… and possibly all levels of fitness too! 😂

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere. Whether you joined for the beer, the chat, or just a well-earned night away from school homework and lunch prep, it was great to see faces there.

Our PSA events are all about bringing the school community together, having a laugh, and supporting the school along the way — so if you haven’t made it to one yet, keep your eyes peeled for the next social event. We promise not all of them involve running 26 miles… 🍺🏃‍♂️✨

A huge congratulations to our amazing parent relay team who took on the Belfast Marathon and achieved an incredible 54th place finish out of more than 3,000 teams! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👏

Not only did they cross the finish line with an outstanding result, but they also raised funds for our school along the way. We are so proud of their teamwork, determination, and support for our school community.

Thank you for representing our school so brilliantly and for going the extra mile — literally! 💙
