We welcomed a lovely group of Yr11 students from Saintfield High School today, and introduced them to what a career in primary school might be like. Then....we unleashed our P2s upon them! Hope we didn't put them off pursuing the bestest job in the world, ever 🤣.

As part of the P5s Living Things topic, we were delighted to welcome wildlife expert, Aidan Crean, to our classroom 🐦🌿

He shared fascinating insights about the swift population in Carryduff and explained how we can all play a part in protecting these amazing birds. The children were inspired to learn that David Attenborough developed his passion for wildlife at their age!

To put their learning into action, the class also made three bat boxes, which will soon be installed around our school grounds 🦇

Thanks to Choice Housing for organising the visit.

Yesterday, our Key Stage 1 classes had a fantastic trip to W5. They explored, discovered, played and had so much fun learning through all the hands-on activities. They loved it!

Our wonderful P7s managed to dodge the showers last week and have a blast on their residential trip to Ardaluin House in Newcastle. Bouldering, abseiling, tree climbing.....all successfully conquered with the biggest smiles 💦🌲💦

P5 had a fantastic visit to Castle Espie yesterday! 😊 The weather was lovely, and everyone had a great time exploring and learning about the wildlife.

We can confirm—after a careful check before heading back—that no ducks were smuggled home🦆!
