The first day of Cycle to School Week was a huge success!! 🎉 We had so many children travelling on their bikes and scooters today that we actually ran out of parking spots!

We hope to see them all at Alexandra Park on Friday at 8.30am, so that we can all travel actively to school together! 🚲 🛴🚶🏽

❤️CELEBRATING OUR AMAZING STAFF❤️

Today, we celebrated our wonderful Holy Family team with Staff Appreciation Day. From our office staff to teachers, assistants, cleaners, caretaker, canteen staff, crossing patrol…..these people make our school the truly special place it is and we could not do without them!

It’s Cycle to School Week!! 🚲 🎉

I’ve the next 7 days we would love to see as many children scooting and cycling to school.

There will be spot prizes given out by our CycleSpy throughout the week!🕵🏻

We will also have a Big Cycle to School on Friday, meeting at Alexandra Park - more information to follow ❤️

🌎 International Credit Union Day takes place on Thursday 15th October, and we are giving away £1,500 between 3 lucky schools.

Teachers’ Credit Union celebrates this day each year by supporting local schools and this year is no different! Three people will win £500 for an NI school or nursery/playgroup of their choice!

Important information about the Waterworks

Temporary closures at Waterworks Park from Wednesday 7 October

We’ve been working to upgrade the reservoir infrastructure in Waterworks in recent months and, as part of these improvements, we now need to undertake essential safety works within the park. This means parts of the park will be closed for up to nine weeks.

🚫 Closed

• Lower Pond: The lower pond area and surrounding access paths
• Cavehill Road Playground: Closed week days
• Locked Gates: Antrim Road, Brookvale Avenue, and Cavehill Road main entrance.

🌳 Open

• Upper Pond area and all other site gates
• Westland Playground, MUGA, and Football Pitch
• GROW community garden and Waterworks Sports 3G Pitch
• Parkrun: Will continue using a revised route

Signage will be in place at affected gates. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during these essential safety works.
