Israel wipes genocide evidence in Gaza, carting off rubble and remains in 100 trucks daily 15/08/2026

Israeli forces are clearing rubble from neighbourhoods and facilities they have destroyed in the Gaza Strip and relocating it to areas under their military control outside the Strip. They are doing this to remove crucial evidence of the genocide from independent verification, including the remains of victims still unaccounted for under the rubble.

Israel wipes genocide evidence in Gaza, carting off rubble and remains in 100 trucks daily At least 10 million tonnes of rubble have been removed, crushed, or moved from their original sites within the areas under Israel’s unlawful military control

When We Are All Enemies of the State 13/08/2026

This is a reproduction of a speech delivered in 1974 by Stuart Hall, the Jamaican-born sociologist and cultural theorist in defence of the radical intellectual Walter Rodney. Hall’s speech challenged the role of the intellectual as separate from politics or subject to ‘value neutrality’. ‘This is a disastrous and crippling view’, argued Hall. ‘It utterly mistakes the role of the intellectual and the nature of intellectual work in its relation to politics’. A valuable re-assertion of the role of the intellectual as universities fall prey to neoliberalism.

When We Are All Enemies of the State A recently discovered 1974 speech by Stuart Hall on Walter Rodney—and why fascists fear ideas.

Concern over study visa refusal rate for Gazan students 29/07/2026

The Irish government has refused study visas to students from Gaza who are due to take up college scholarships in Ireland this September. The reasons for declining these visas include:

- not supplying original bank statements;
- a failure to account for gaps in their education;
- and a failure to supply strong evidence that they will return home.

How can any government expect this kind of documentary evidence from students in Gaza which has been decimated in Israel's genocide? The Minister for Justice, Jim O'Callaghan, should reverse this decision and award the visas without delay.

Concern over study visa refusal rate for Gazan students Concern is growing in Irish universities over a high rate of refusal of study visas to students in Gaza who are due to take up college scholarships in Ireland this September.
