We had such a wonderful time enjoying one last Christmas dinner at Downey House this week! A big thank you to Nicola for the delicious lunch, and how special was it to have Santa visit all the kids? 🎅🎄

The pupils enjoyed an afternoon of hot chocolate and surprise gifts in our outdoor classroom.
The college and PTA presented the children and staff with a memory bear, a leaver hoodie and a school photograph for each to cherish and celebrate their time at Downey House.
Methodist College is relaunching its House System which will be rolled out to the Prep in September 2025.
It is fitting that we remember all the pupils and the staff who have contributed to its success and the origins of its name. The name will be celebrated in the house system with the yellow house being named Downey House and will be represented by the dragon.

Our pupils enjoyed their festive transition day at the Methody Campus.
They wore Christmas Jumpers, played a variety of games and even enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner. 🎄🎅

Our Prep 7 pupils had a fantastic day celebrating their time at Downey House. They all came dressed for the red carpet before enjoying a special lunch in the dining hall.
In the evening they danced the night away at one last Prep 7 Disco in Downey.
A massive thank you to the PTA, all the parents that helped and Nicola for helping to make it a such a memorable day.

Our Principal, Mrs Jenny Lendrum, has been granted yet another accolade when it was announced that she has been appointed as High Sheriff of the County of Antrim for 2025.
The High Sheriff represents the interests of His Majesty The King with regard to the Judiciary and Law and Order. Mrs Lendrum will assume this role alongside her leadership of the College.
