🤰🏻Being in control during your birth is essential for a positive and empowering birth experience -
When a woman feels in control, she is more likely to feel confident, capable, and able to cope with any challenges of childbirth.
💫This sense of control can come from having a birth plan in place, being informed about all available options and interventions and having a supportive birth partner and team that respects her wishes and preferences.
By advocating, asking questions and making informed decisions, women can take an active role in their birthing experience and feel empowered throughout their birthing experience.
👩‍🍼Being in control during birth can lead to increased satisfaction, reduced stress, and a greater sense of accomplishment and strength as a new mother.
We are passionate about empowering women on their journey to motherhood and ensuring that their partners feel equally prepared for the transition to parenthood.

• If in the early days your baby requires supplements, the colostrum can be used instead of formula e.g. preventing the risk of low blood glucose levels in the new-born or slow weight gain.

🧐In the very early stages of birth it may not be absolutely clear that labour has started. Your role at this stage is to stay supportive and to know what the signs of labour are.
🕰There may be a time lasting for hours or even several days when your partner experiences backache, surges/contractions and unusual moods without it actually being clear that it is the beginning of birth!
😌During the latent stage stay calm and don’t rush anything.
📗make sure the birth plan and hospital bag are ready to go.
😎Stay cool, provide distractions, and offer your partner plenty of comfort and positive attention.

Our checklist for things you can do at this point:
💆🏻‍♀️give your partner a massage
🛀run her a bath
🥪offer healthy snacks
🥤ensure she is well hydrated
🤫protect this time at home without interruptions (don't tell everyone)
🚶go for a walk with your partner
💧offer your partner a hot water bottle
🙋🏼‍♂️be present and in tune with her

Tag your birth partner and save this for when you need it 🐣

There are many other things you can do that are practical and useful.
