We are thrilled to share that St. Teresa’s Nursery School has been officially recognised as a ‘Being Well, Doing Well’ School!
This award celebrates our commitment to nurturing the health and well-being of our entire school community. We know that children thrive when the adults around them are supported too.
To help promote positive well-being, we will be sharing the Action for Happiness Self-Care Calendar each month with our staff, Board of Governors, and parents/carers. Taking care of our own well-being sets a wonderful example for our children and gives us the energy to navigate the joys and challenges of busy family life.
We hope these small, daily ideas encourage everyone to pause, recharge, and make time for the things that support their happiness and well-being.
Together, by being well, we can help our children do well. 🦋🌟🩷

We were honoured to receive our Whole School Approach plaque on behalf of St Teresa’s Nursery School. This recognition is a testament to the care, commitment and teamwork of our wonderful staff, as well as the support of our families and community.
At St Teresa’s, we believe that nurturing children's wellbeing is just as important as supporting their learning. We are proud of how far we have come and excited to continue this important work together.

It has been a true privilege to serve St Teresa’s Nursery School over the past 12 years. I leave knowing it is in safe hands, and will continue to grow, thrive and shine in the years ahead 🦋.

Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to share some important personal news with you.
After much reflection, I will be leaving my post as Principal of St Teresa’s Nursery School to take up a new role with the Education and Training Inspectorate as a Primary and Early Years SEN Inspector.
Serving as Principal of St Teresa’s has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. It has been an honour to work alongside such dedicated staff, supportive families, and, most importantly, the wonderful children who bring so much joy, curiosity and energy to our school each day.
I am incredibly proud of all that we have achieved together as a school community. From our strong focus on play-based learning and inclusion, to the partnerships we have built with families and the wider community, St Teresa’s holds a very special place in my heart.
While I am excited about this next step and the opportunity to contribute to early years education at a system level, leaving such a special community is not easy. I will carry with me many fond memories of my time here.
Please be assured that the school will continue to provide high-quality care, learning and support for all children. Arrangements for leadership moving forward will be communicated in due course.
Thank you for your continued support, kindness, and trust during my time as Principal. It has truly been a privilege to be part of your children’s early learning journeys.
