If your child has a diagnosed need (dyslexia, processing speed, visual impairment, anxiety that affects exams), they may be entitled to extra time or other access arrangements for the SEAG. The 2026 application deadline is 11:59pm on Friday 18 September, and the paperwork can take weeks.
We've put together a parent's guide to SEAG access arrangements: who qualifies, what evidence the school needs, and how the application is made.
Start during P6 if you can.

Why your child got it wrong matters more than whether they got it wrong.
Most SEAG platforms mark the answer and move on. SEAG Success explains why each option is wrong, including the ones your child didn't pick. That's where real learning happens.
