It wonโt, recent studies have shown that diets as high as 250-300g of protein donโt actually affect the function of your kidneys. Unless youโve a pre-existing kidney condition, youโll be grand. โฃโฃ

Secondly - Regardless of what a coach, a person of influence, really anybody told you in the past, scale weight is important in order to assess body composition changes. โฃ

To throw it out as a metric completely is just.. well fu***ng stupid. โฃ

Because, well.. weight can fluctuate for a lots of reasons which I donโt need to get into here. Weighing 3-4 times per week will give you an average and out of that will come a more accurate metric. โฃ

Paying attention to day2day weigh ins. โฃ

RIGHT WAY โฃ
Paying attention to long term trends. โฃ

WHY? โฃ
Again, weight fluctuates! Itโs much more important how your doing relative to your goal 3 months from now than it is tomorrow! โฃ

Getting weighed in your mums room, then your room with your d**k out, then the Chemist, then your grannies kitchen with your trainers on. โฃ

Keep conditions the same - EVERYTIME! โฃ

Even know itโs never 100% accurate, we want to give ourselves to best chance at a reliable metric. So set those scales in your room, take your dressing gown off, donโt drink anything and get on the scales - AND REPEAT TOMORROW! โฃ
