What an action packed second week of Summer School! We have been enjoying lots of fun in the sun with our friends! Enjoying ice lollies to cool down! Playing with water and having water races! We had a visit from some Amazon jungle creatures and learned all about facts about them and their habitats, we got to gently pet and hold some of them! Caitlin from “Acting Up!” came in to take us for some singing and dancing classes and we had so much fun bopping about! This was superb practice for our annual Summer School talent show! As always we were treated to an array of wonderful performances, from singing and dancing to comedians and basketball skills! What a very special day! The P5 and P6 children were involved in a very special project led by Molly from “Boys and girls club” called “Our Generation, Stronger Together” . This programme supports children and young people to build positive wellbeing, resilience, empathy, and strong connections with others.

The P4–P6 children explored new ideas through meditation, taken part in lively debates, and unleashed their creativity with a range of engaging activities. It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn, think, create, and discover together. The children have thoroughly enjoyed every session, and the experiences have made this year's Summer School even more special.
A huge thank you to Molly for her enthusiasm, knowledge, and dedication. We are so grateful for everything she has done to make the week such an enjoyable and memorable one for our pupils.

We have put all our lovely jungle fact finding tasks and art work into a beautiful front foyer display don’t forget to check it out when you return to school!

Well done to all the boys and girls of Summer School 2026 who were so well mannered and kind to each other developing lots of new friendships!

Week 1 of Summer School ✅

We may not have had sunshine in our first week but we have had endless fun! Our topic is jungle themed and we are on an adventure into the rainforests! We have been learning about the rainforests around the world, where they are located on a map, the creatures that live in each layer and of course any adaptations they have for their habitat! We have had rainforest themed hunts in the fairy garden, created lots of jungle/ animal inspired art, jungle themed tigers tea party, science speed experiments and to top it off dance sessions with the lovely Miss Smyth! An action packed week with lots more to come in our second week!! 🎉🎉🌿🌴🌳🐯🐅🐒🦜🐍🦋💙💛
