We also said a fond farewell to our wonderful School Crossing Patrol, Maggie, as she begins her well-deserved retirement. For many years, Maggie has been a familiar and friendly face at the corner of Sheringhurst Park, helping generations of Lowwood children cross the road safely with kindness and care. Whatever the weather, she was always there, making a positive difference to our school community. Thank you, Maggie, for your dedication, your commitment and the care you have shown to our children and families over the years. We have said a heartfelt farewell to our wonderful Vice Principal as she begins an exciting new chapter as Principal of Kilbride Central. Although her time at Lowwood has been relatively short, the impact she has made on our school community has been immense. Her kindness, positivity and unwavering commitment to putting children at the heart of everything she does have touched the lives of our pupils, families and staff.
A compassionate leader, trusted colleague and supportive friend, she has helped shape Lowwood with warmth, integrity and a genuine belief in the potential of every child. While we are incredibly sad to see her leave, we couldn't be more proud to see her take on this well-deserved opportunity. Thank you, Mrs Meekin, for your dedication, your leadership and everything you have given to the Lowwood community. You will always be part of the Lowwood family. We wish you every success and happiness as you begin your journey at Kilbride Central. They are gaining an exceptional leader and we know you will make a lasting difference. Good luck, and thank you for everything.🌟

This week, we also celebrated the retirement of one of Lowood's true legends, our wonderful Building Supervisor, Betty. For years, Betty has been the heart of our school, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Her warmth, humour and determination have made a lasting impact on everyone who has walked through our doors. From greeting children each morning and building wonderful relationships with families, to making staff laugh every single day and somehow persuading every maintenance worker to tackle "just one more job", Betty has been simply irreplaceable. Thank you, Betty, for every smile, every laugh, every act of kindness and everything you have done for the Lowood community. You have made our school a happier place simply by being you. We wish you a long, happy and thoroughly deserved retirement. Congratulations, Betty! 💐❤️
