🌳 WELCOME TO LOWWOOD ❤️
We are delighted to welcome Mr Massey to the Lowwood family as our new Vice Principal.
Mr Massey brings a wealth of experience to our school, along with a real commitment to supporting our children, staff and wider school community. We are looking forward to working alongside him as he gets to know our pupils, families and staff and becomes a familiar and valued face around Lowwood. 🥰 We are so pleased to have him as part of our leadership team and can’t wait to see all that he will bring to Lowwood. ❤️🖤 TODAY- FRIENDS OF LOWWOOD – WE’D LOVE YOU TO GET INVOLVED! 🖤❤️

We’re excited to launch Friends of Lowwood to bring together people who would like to support our school and help raise funds to make a real difference for our children and wider school community.

There’s no pressure to make a huge commitment. Whether you can help organise an event, volunteer occasionally, share ideas or simply support our fundraising activities, every bit of help matters! 🙌

📅 Introductory Meeting & AGM
🗓 Monday 28th September
⏰ 2:45pm
📍 School Library

Come along, meet others, hear some ideas and find out how you could be part of Friends of Lowwood.

❤️ Together, we can do something great for Lowwood! 🖤

Please share this post with anyone you think might like to get involved!

📚A day of learning and professional development at Lowwood🌟 While our primary school staff remained in school today, continuing to explore the proposed reforms of the TransformEd 2028 curriculum, our Nursery team were busy learning too! 🌱Our Nursery staff (teaching and non-teaching) attended an Excellence in Education Nursery Conference, providing a valuable opportunity to develop their practice, share ideas and learn alongside other early years practitioners.
Professional learning like this helps us to reflect on what we do, explore new approaches and continually improve the experiences and opportunities we provide for our youngest children. It also gives our staff the chance to connect with others working in early years education and bring new ideas and inspiration back to Lowwood. We are committed to ensuring that our Nursery provision continues to grow and develop, keeping us at the forefront of high-quality preschool education. 💚 A busy day of learning for all our staff, with the same goal at the heart of it, giving our children the very best start. Thank you to Mrs Coburn, Principal of Monkstown Nursery School, for organising such a great event. 🌱📚

🌟 World Teaching Assistant Day 2026 🌟

Today we celebrate our incredible classroom assistants (and other non-teaching staff too) and the enormous difference they make to life at Lowwood every single day.

Their kindness, patience, encouragement and dedication help our children feel safe, valued and confident. Whether supporting learning in the classroom, providing reassurance when it is needed most, celebrating successes or helping children overcome challenges, our non-teaching staff play a vital role in helping every child thrive.

They are an essential part of our Lowwood family and their impact can be seen in every classroom, every corridor and every child's journey.

💚 Thank you for all that you do.
🌳 You help our children grow, flourish and shine.

We would also like to recognise and thank all of our wonderful non-teaching staff whose hard work, care and commitment help make Lowwood such a special place to learn and work.
