We have been awarded the Silver School Quality Mark by the Irish Football Association.
Damian McLaughlin presented us with our award this morning.
The School Quality Mark is a new initiative provided by the IFA that aims to enhance and improve schools’ football at both primary and post primary level. As part of the Irish FA “Let Them Play” strategy, the School Quality Mark provides schools with the guidance to implement structures to build capacity and allow football to flourish.

We are delighted to show off our new sports kit. Mrs Morrison has worked so hard behind the scenes to make this possible. We are most grateful to her and to Michael Fairbanks, one of our P7 parents, who also helped to organise it all. Featured in the photos are Club President of Instonians Rugby Club, Owen Lambert and our very own coach, Rugby Roy. From Parr Group are Thomas and Danny. Our thanks goes to all.

The High School Ballynahinch are holding an ASD transition information session on Friday 9th December at 1:00. This session will be for any parent/ guardian of a P7 or even P6 child to help them through the emotional and mental minefield of transition to post primary facing them and their child. We will also have parents who have been through it to talk of their experience. The session is open to all parents, not just those considering our school.
We would also like to invite other SENCos or Unit Heads to either participate or send us information about your Social Communication Unit so we could pass on to parents who may be considering your school. We would ask that you pass details of the session to any parents whose child is in transitions next year. Any queries please email: [email protected]
