🇫🇷 🇩🇪Having learned a couple of foreign languages I do appreciate just how difficult mastering the irregularities of English can be. The plural of 'roof' is normally 'roofs', so why is the plural of 'hoof', 'hooves'?!? The plural then of cactus is 'cacti' or 'cactuses' - or both? 🤔😆 If you're looking to learn to speak English - beginner or not - do message me for a chat. 💡

'A' or 'AN'??
No one ever said English is a straightforward language. For example, the words historic, historical, historian, horrific, and hotel start with a consonant sound, where the 'h' is sounded. If you're drawn to "an historic" or "an horrific," give these words more "huh" until you're comfortable with using "a." On the other hand ...

RELATIVE PRONOUNS: 'Which' or 'That'?
- The dog is in the garden (could be any old dog).
- The dog THAT stole your hot dog is in the garden (now you know which dog is the culprit).
- The dog, WHICH stole your hot dog, is now eating your hamburger too (more information).

As well as English lessons, last school term and again this term I have been asked to take FRENCH CONVERSATION CLASSES. Covid restrictions have meant that secondary-school pupils are not able to practise the language as they would wish. I present a ten-week course on subjects such as relationships and home life, through food, health, shopping and technology, among other aspects, right to French pronunciation. Interested?
