Hands up if you're on the countdown to half term?! 🦇🎃🎆

The new stationary, empty exercise books and fresh starts of September now seem like a distant memory... Halloween half term is almost upon us!

However, before a slower-paced week filled with Halloween fun, take the time to encourage your teenager to stop, look back and see how far they've come in just a few months. It might not always seem like we've accomplished much as we move quickly from one day to the next, but I guarantee they'll surprise themselves with just how much they've achieved!

Every day we're moving forward and developing not only our knowledge and understanding, but so much more besides. Well done on half a term of showing up, working hard and making progress! You've earned that break!!

Think back to your own education: I'm sure we have all faced times where something seemed impossible. Maybe you were like me and Maths had you stumped. Quadratic equations and Pythagoras' Theorem left me scratching my head on a good day, or ready to flip the table on a bad one.

Like anything in life, as much as we would like it to, difficult things do not just go away if we ignore them. Instead, with the right support, encouragement and some serious perseverance, we can tackle these challenges and succeed, even if there are mistakes along the way.
