Last Friday we celebrated a very special milestone as our preschool children graduated and got ready for their next big adventure - school! 🎓✨

The children looked so proud wearing their graduation hats and sashes as they received their certificates, marking the end of such an important chapter 💫. It was a joy to celebrate together with their families and share this memorable moment.

We enjoyed a lovely celebration with cake, pizza, buffet food, fresh fruit and juices - along with lots of smiles and laughter.
We are so proud of how far each child has come and all they have achieved during their time with us. They are now ready to take their next steps with confidence and excitement.

In the lead up to graduation, our preschoolers had been busy in class making their own graduation hats and crowns, carefully decorating them with their own designs.

Our outdoor environment is full of excitement, exploration and hands-on learning as the children make the most of our continuous provision 🌤️.

💦 Sensory Play
The children enjoy exploring our sand and water area, pouring, scooping and experimenting with different containers - developing their understanding of volume, textures and cause and effect.

🏗️ Construction Zone
Imagination takes over as the children build and create using bricks, tyres and blocks. From tall towers to obstacle pathways, they work together, problem-solve and bring their ideas to life.

🌱 Nature & Investigation
Our little explorers are busy watering and planting flowers, learning how to care for our environment 🌸. They take part in mini beast hunts, using scientific language to describe what they find - observing, comparing and asking questions about the world around them 🐞.

🎨 Mark Making Outdoors
Creativity flows as the children use chalk and paint to mark make outside, expressing themselves through colours, shapes and patterns on a larger scale.

🏃♂️ Physical Development
There are plenty of opportunities to stay active! The children climb, balance and move through obstacle courses, use the climbing frame, balance on stepping stones and enjoy ball play - developing coordination, balance and confidence.

We’re looking forward to a day full of fun, laughter, and expressive activities as the children explore different emotions and ways to communicate. From storytelling to creative play, today will be all about helping little ones understand how we show how we feel — both with and without emojis.

🌟 Preschool Readiness for School 🎒✨

Our toddlers have been developing their independence through important self-care routines 🧼✨. They practised brushing their teeth, washing their hands and taking their shoes on and off - helping them feel more confident in their daily routines. We explored our feelings using our emotion monsters, learning to recognise emotions and talk about ways to regulate them 💭💙. The children also got creative making healthy foods for their packed lunch using playdough🥕🍎. To support early writing skills, toddlers practised pencil control by tracing around their “kind hands” ✍️ and explored early letter recognition by creating their initials out of playdough.

Our preschoolers have been working hard on the key skills they’ll need for school! They took part in number and letter recognition activities, building confidence with early maths and literacy 🔤. We focused on fine motor development through practising cutting with scissors ✂️, as well as building independence by washing hands and putting on their shoes and socks 👟. Our imaginative school role play tuff tray gave children the chance to act out real-life experiences, helping them feel excited and prepared for their next step 🎒✨. The children have also been practising recognising and writing their names, developing their pencil control ✍️. To finish, they got creative using their favourite colours to design delicious ice creams 🍦🎨.

We are currently looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual to join our nursery team in a 1-2-1 support role for 15 hours per week.

This rewarding position involves supporting a child within the nursery environment, helping them feel confident, included and encouraged throughout their day.

What we’re looking for:
