This afternoon we made felt collages based on Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

This morning we planted out our pots.

We haven't been posting for a few weeks, we are getting some bits ready to renovate our courtyard garden and we are hoping for a big reveal but I couldn't help but share these few images of some of the work in progress.

Well it might have been windy outside but indoors our thoughts turned to spring and 's . 🌸🌼🌸

Here are just a small selection of our completed Ai Weiwei inspired trees. What a great start to the new year to have completed this project 😀.

With a break from our Ai Weiwei tree project this term, The students were introduced to another of his sculptures which I was lucky enough to see at The Yorkshire Sculpture park- The Chinese Zodiac Animals. Very fitting for Chinese New Year. We learnt about our own zodiac animals whilst eating fortune cookies. We drew sgrafitto tigers and made Chinese lanterns. What a thoroughly relaxing day.

Look at this amazing small study a client made today. He is practicing with form for a larger piece.

This morning was our final session on non-portraits. Lots of fun was had by all. I'm thrilled with how well the clients have engaged with this topic and they've made some amazing work.
