Our Year 2 children enjoyed a fantastic DT Day as part of their Monarchs topic, creating a selection of sweet and savoury pies fit for a medieval banquet! The feast was inspired by the celebrations for King Henry VIII’s wedding, and the children worked brilliantly to design, prepare and bake their delicious creations. They had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed tasting their pies at the end of the day!

Good Friday marks the day Jesus was crucified and died on the cross. It is a day of sadness, and one which is so poignant in the Christian faith.

Last week, Years 5 and 6 shared the story of how Jesus was tried by Pontius Pilate and condemned to death.

Their dramatisation was deeply moving. They told the story with care. The rest of the school watched with great respect, leaving the hall in complete silence.

Today is Maundy Thursday, sometimes called Holy Thursday.

It is the day we mark Jesus sharing The Last Supper with his apostles.

Following this special meal, where Jesus shared bread and wine with his friends, he was arrested and taken to Pontius Pilate for sentencing.

Last week Years 3 and 4, shared the story of this event with the rest of the school. They spoke loudly, clearly and with great confidence- well done!

Today we celebrate the feast of Palm Sunday. On this day, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.
People came to see him, they waved palm leaves and threw their cloaks to the ground.
On Friday Conker Class told the story to the whole school. We are so proud of how brave they were, and how beautifully they performed.

Bedford Borough Parent Carer Forum services are still available to access over the holidays.

As we head into the Easter holidays…

We know that school holidays can bring a mix of emotions for families of children and young people with SEND.

A change in routine, loss of structure, and different expectations can feel overwhelming - not just for children, but for parent carers too.

Please remember, you are not alone in this.

💬 It’s okay if things feel harder during this time
💬 It’s okay if plans don’t go as expected
💬 It’s okay to take things one day at a time

Over the holidays, some services may have reduced availability, but support is still out there if you need it:

BBPCF will still be here, but responses to emails may take a little longer than usual during the holiday period. Thank you for your patience.

We hope you find moments of calm, connection and small wins over the break - whatever that looks like for your family. http://www.bbpcf.co.uk/
