Year 2 had a fantastic morning visiting Reverend Catherine at St Owen’s Church as part of our learning about people who inspire us and the Christian faith. The children enjoyed exploring the church grounds, asking thoughtful questions, and discovering more about the role of Christians in our community. A huge thank you to Reverend Catherine and all of the wonderful volunteers who supported the children throughout the trip and helped make it such a memorable experience!

πŸ›πŸŽ This week, we have been learning all about the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and exploring the importance of healthy eating! πŸ“πŸŒπŸ‡

On Thursday, the children enjoyed a wonderful fruit tasting session where they each created their own delicious fruit kebab from a selection of fresh fruits to enjoy as their snack. πŸ˜‹

A huge thank you to the Tesco Cardington Road Community Champion Team for kindly and generously donating the fruit – we are so grateful for your support! πŸ’š

Inspired by our tasting session, the children also enjoyed some independent writing, sharing all about their favourite fruits! ✏️🍏
