Diocesan Schools Mass 2026
We had the pleasure of participating in the Northampton Diocese School's Mass on Friday 9th October at Saint Mary's church in Dunstable. Children gathered from schools from across the Northampton Diocese for a wonderful celebration led by Canon Michael Harrison. Our students acted as stewards before, during and after the Mass and they were excellent role models to others.

Another great launch event for Ready to Lead across Bedford. We know our 6th form students will gain lots of transferable skills from this initiative. Super proud to see Megan and Ava presenting at this year's launch following the success of their Happy Minds Project last year.

What an awesome day yesterday at our Ready2Lead? conference!

Simon Everitt and Lorna Godden were delighted to welcome more than 100 students from 9 local schools who came together for an inspiring afternoon of ideas, leadership and action at Bedford School. A huge thank you to our brilliant speakers—Becky Masih, Urban Judge FRSA and Zach Marlow, and our students from last year’s programme: Ava Camino and Megan-Rose Otter from St Thomas More and Erika Groza and Aisha Ali—whose stories and insights encouraged everyone to think boldly, step forward and make a positive difference in their communities.

We were delighted to welcome students from:
· Bedford Girls' School
· Bedford Greenacre Independent School
· Bedford Modern School
· Bedford School
· The Bedford Sixth Form
· Biddenham International School & Sports College
· Kimberley 16-19 STEM College
· Mark Rutherford School
· St Thomas More Secondary School and Sixth Form

Thank you to every student, teacher, speaker and supporter who helped make the event such a success. We can’t wait to see where this year’s Ready2Lead? journey takes you!

✨ St Francis of Assisi – Called to be Saints Conference ✨

On Friday 2 October, we had the pleasure of hosting our St Francis of Assisi – Called to be Saints conference at St Thomas More Catholic School.

We welcomed Year 6 pupils from St John Rigby Catholic Primary School and St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, musicians from St Thomas Becket Catholic School in Northampton, alongside our own Year 7 and other STM students.
The day began and ended with a beautiful Celebration of the Word and included a range of exciting workshops exploring media, PE, drama, music, art, English and leadership. The children also had the opportunity to meet new friends, share experiences and enjoy a picnic lunch together on the field.
A wonderful day of faith, friendship, creativity and fun – enjoyed by everyone!
