Earlier this term, we loved welcoming Year 5 students from our local primary schools for our Film Project Masterclass. It was fantastic to see so much creativity, teamwork and imagination as students developed their own film ideas.

Thank you to everyone who took part – we really enjoyed working with you and look forward to seeing many of you on our open evening on the 23rd September.

'Stellar results' for St Thomas More Sixth Form students

Whatever pathway you choose for post 16, we can provide it. Academic, vocational or blended, we have celebrated some fantastic results and post 18 destinations today. Well done to all of our amazing students, enjoy your celebrations!

Today we’re celebrating an incredible set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results at St Thomas More.

Our 2026 cohort have shown outstanding dedication, hard work and resilience, achieving fantastic results across both academic and vocational pathways.

A particular highlight is that 50% of all BTEC grades awarded this year were Distinction or Distinction, reflecting the exceptional standard of technical and vocational education at St Thomas More.

We’re also delighted that 92% of students have secured their firm or insurance university choices, competitive apprenticeships or direct career opportunities.

Head of Sixth Form, Kirsten Bernard, said:

“Our students have continuously gone above and beyond to reach their potential. These results reflect not only their academic drive but also their character and determination.”

Moving from Ukraine to England meant Sololmiya rebuilding her life after the trauma of war tried to steal her identity and her future. Caught between a past she couldn’t return to and an unpredictable future, she learned the true meaning of resilience. Today, a brand new chapter begins: she officially earned a place studying Psychology at UCL! Huge congratulations, Solomiya! Your strength, brilliance, and phenomenal spirit are an inspiration to us all. We are so incredibly proud of you! 🎉🎓
