Wild Canvas weeks 1 & 2
Here's a snap shot of my last two weekends Wild Canvas Camping
Felt pictures, Wind wands, Magic Ts, Art Wall, Peace Doves, Canvas painting, Collage, Wax rubbings, Circular weaving.
And this weekend I do it all over again.
It's been busy, and hot, but the vibe is perfect. This is like a mini festival where kids can't get lost. Everything about Wild Canvas is beautiful. If you like camping, cool music and activities with an earthy feel look no further.

Summer School 2026
2 gorgeous days spent creating together in the giant Tipi Wild Canvas Camping in the grounds of Turvey House & Estate
Turmeric Sun Prints, Wet Felting, mini Tipis, Wind Wands, Collages, Wax rubbings, Watercolour painting, Ink painting, Felt Sunflowers and Sketchbooks!
We welcomed a lovely mixture of old and new faces along. Everyone worked really hard despite the heat and created such beautiful results π€
Thanks to all the young artists for helping to make it so special and to my team for all their tremendous support. Lastly to Wild Canvas for offering this amazing location for us to work in π
And now for a dip in that river!
I'll be working at Wild Canvas for the rest of August running workshops for the campers each weekend. It's been super busy so far this year and pitches are selling out fast. Do not miss this hidden gem ππ

Homemade sketchbooks π π
At the end of our summer term we decided to turn some rather gorgeous artwork into sketchbook covers so that it could be shared between the young artists that created it (two drawings ontop of each other using carbon paper) The children helped build these little books themselves adding personal touches of their own. Something to take home, treasure and use over the summer holidays π€
We love sketchbooks and every year we make new ones for every child that joins our workshops, and every year they're a tiny bit different. What will September bring?

Key rings made with felt beads, clay beads and paper beads (all homemade) plus bells and ribbons and lots and lots of love π What beauties they all are! Our kids absolutely loved making these (the video shows examples from our teen group too)
We've had lots of enquiries recently asking more about what we do and here is a lovely example. When one activity leads to another then another and even I don't always know where we're going, we always trust that wonderful creative process π€

Our final collection of pics taken from our Character Design workshops last weekend, lead by the great Jean Constantial, Computer Graphics artist with over 20 years experience in media and marketing including film and fashion.
Jean has worked in various studios in Paris including the famous visual effects and CGI studio BUF Company.Β
I'm sure you'll agree these characters are truly amazing thanks to Jeans skills and expertise. We cannot wait to learn more from him next term!

Character Design with Computer Graphics artist Jean Constantial
Who are they?
What is their story?
Hero or Villain?
Historical or Futuristic?
More fabulous outcomes from last weekend when the children blew our minds with their creative thinking and ability to visually develop their incredible ideas using 'shape language'
We are thrilled with the outcomes and cannot wait to invite Jean back to teach us more next term!
