First, give yourself permission to start. Second, acknowledge all the benefits that comes with doing whatever you want to do and know that you're worth it. Third, embrace the small steps to get there.

Since school resumed last week, I've seen so many social media posts with memes like this. I've heard the front doors slammed shut and locked when the child or children go to school. I've even heard certain cars leave home earlier than usual for school drop offs.😂

I know about the phased returns but this isn't it. Trust me😂

I've spoken to so many entrepreneurs who are also parents and although they absolutely love their child or children, they relish the time to focus on their business.

One things for sure, the school attendance and punctuality rate for September to December 2020 will be the highest positively recorded in history 😂

It's the weekend!

It's the end of the first week of school for some schools that started back this week.

Or maybe your first proper week back at work.

No matter what you've been doing this week, it's time to unwind and plan a little self care.

So plan at least 30 minutes of me time this weekend. It can either be meditating, journalling, listening to relaxing music, baking or having a lovely soak in the bath with candles.

Then, reflect on what you have achieved this week and what you are grateful for and write it down.

We have to be grateful for what we have achieved or we can't appreciate the process.

I have spent every single day with my daughter since we had the lockdown and I have loved it! Don't get me wrong, we got on each others nerves at times. But I was able to appreciate the amazing and independent young lady she is turning into.

First day back at school and I didn't cry, but it's still early. I never get used to this first day feeling.

Don't you just love it when Facebook reminds you of a happy memory? 🤗

3 years ago today I was teaching in a women's prison. Although I've loved teaching the students everywhere I've worked, this was the best place ever!

We had an OFSTED inspection and also an EQA visit that week and my group excelled them both. These women made me work for their trust 😂 and their trust in me, made them pass their course. They made me so proud.

They are the reason I started The Beauty Teacher. I wanted to create a non judgemental learning environment, where aspiring beauty therapists can learn a beauty therapy skill, regardless of the whispers and judgement cast upon them by society.

Now, I'm adding the business element to it, giving them the tools and resources they need to launch their very own beauty business.

Never let someone's negative opinion stop you from doing what you love.

We celebrated my baby's 12th birthday 4 weeks ago. How on earth is she 12 already? I really can't believe how the years have flown by.

Thank you for making a dream a reality that I didn't think I would ever be blessed with.

Thank you for the constant laughter and supporting mummy in everything I want to achieve.
