Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome three representatives from HMRC to BGI, who delivered an engaging financial literacy session for our Year 7 to 9 students. The session explored the fundamentals of taxation, including who pays tax, the different types of tax, and how it applies to everyday purchases.

Our students gained valuable insights into an important aspect of real-world finance, helping to build their understanding of money management and civic responsibility.
We extend our sincere thanks to the HMRC team for providing such an informative and insightful session.

A huge well done to our Year 9 and 10 pupils who were selected to represent North Beds at the Athletics County Championship on Wednesday evening. Being selected for this event is a fantastic achievement.

A very special congratulations to Bronwyn for being crowned double county champion (Intermediate Girls – 200m and 4x100m relay), as well as to Alanna for being crowned county champion (Junior Girls – 80m hurdles).

Congratulations also to James for finishing 3rd in the county (Junior Boys – 100m).
