The children enjoyed washing different vehicles in the nursery garden this week,using brushes and sponges to scrub and splash! 🚘

🦷 Let’s Brush Our Teeth 🦷

The children enjoyed a tooth-brushing activity, learning how to care for teeth through play and exploration. The fresh smell of mint filled the nursery as little hands got busy, squeezing toothpaste out of tubes and brushing large teeth!

🎨👶 In our baby room, the children have been busy painting egg boxes, mixing colours and exploring textures 🌈✨ We love watching their curiosity grow as they squish, splash and experiment with new materials. 💛🖌️

🪵🔨 At Footsteps Nursery school, our little builders love getting creative with real hammers, saws, hand-drills and screwdrivers all used safely with close supervision 💛. Woodwork helps children grow in confidence, develop new skills and bring their ideas to life! 🌟🪚

Even our Footsteps Bear Anna joined our woodwork fun this week ✨

The children have been really interested in the Little Red Riding Hood 🧺 and The Tiger 🐯 Who Came to Tea 🫖 stories, so we created sensory play invitations based on these stories. They then used picture cards to retell each story in their own way.

Messy, Tasty and Full of Discovery!

This week our baby room children explored a variety of textures, developing their senses through hands-on play. They also made their very own strawberry milkshakes, which sparked curiosity about mixing and tasting!

☔️ WE LOVE SPLASHING IN MUDDY PUDDLES!

Our morning was filled with laughter, splashes, and muddy fun! The children explored the outdoors with confidence and excitement proving that rainy days are some of the best days!

🌿 Nature Scavenger Hunt! 🌿
The children explored the garden, searching for rocks, flowers, leaves, sticks, bugs, and feathers and matching them to their picture cards. So much curiosity, excitement, and outdoor fun! 🐞🍃

Our nursery has been full of colour and excitement as we celebrated Diwali! 🪔
The children painted colourful fireworks, decorated their own diva lamps, and explored beautiful Rangoli patterns. 🎨✨
