☀️ Summer Course 2026 ☀️

Summer course is a week long dancing, singing, acting and prop/costume making course for ages 5-16 culminating in a performance for families at the end of the week. We have been running it since 2012 and the students absolutely love it. The course is open to SMSD members and non members so siblings/friends of our students are welcome too! See below for this year’s dates:

Week 1: Monday 27th July - Friday 31st July (9.00-5.00- pick up from 4.00, early drop off also available)

Week 2: Monday 17th August - Friday 21st August (9.00-5.00- pick up from 4.00, early drop off also available)

☀️ New Spring Menu at Sophie’s Kitchen! ☀️

Sophie’s Kitchen is our studio cafe serving a delicious range of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. We also have a children’s play area so it’s ideal for parents and little ones!

We’re open Monday 3.30-5.30, Tuesday-Thursday 9.00-5.30 and Saturday 9.00-2.30. To fit around our busy timetable of classes.

Classes in a variety of genres for all ages, contact us to book your free trial!

☀️ Wednesday Daytime Classes ☀️

Our Wednesday daytime classes are ideal for little ones not yet in full time education.

Baby Ballet for confident walkers to age 3 followed by Pre-School Ballet for age 3-4. A wonderful introduction to dance and movement with focus on fundamental technique, characterisation, musicality and coordination.

Our adult ballet is ideal for beginners and those who have some experience. Our friendly classes are ideal for building strength, flexibility and poise as well as offering numerous mental health benefits.

Our café is open all day on Wednesday serving a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes- complete with play area for little ones, ideal as a post class treat!

🥳 Finally after months of planning, our new and improved café, Sophie’s Kitchen, opens tomorrow serving a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes from 8.30-1.00. Shakshuka, overnight oats, Turkish eggs, yogurt pots, possibly the best cheese toastie in the world and more! 🎉

The most enormous congratulations to our lovely Ella and Kacie who have both achieved their Level 3 teacher’s assistant qualifications with our exam board

The girls have worked so hard on their coursework as well as giving up every Saturday morning to help with our little ones.

We are so proud of you!!!
