Wonderful Gardening club session this week. We planted pumpkins seeds for our students to take home and nurture and we spotted an abundance of wildlife in our setting 🐞🦗🪱🐛 Well done everyone!! The courgettes are really filling out now too, won't be long before we can harvest them! 💚

Meet the bee fly! 🐝🌼

A lot of the time mistaken for a bumblebee. This fly uses mimicry to keep predators away. Pupils will love learning about this fascinating pollinator, discovering its adaptations and how plants can help them thrive.

Visit the RHS bee-fly webpage for a fun and engaging way to teach pollination, life cycles and how simple actions can support wildlife. It’s linked directly to science and PSHE, making it easy to cater to curriculum planning: https://www.rhs.org.uk/education-learning/school-gardening/resources/planet-friendly/bee-flies
