Bev Childminder Bedford Registered Childminder in the Brickhill / Manton Heights area of Bedford. I am insured, am DBS (CRB) cleared and am first aid trained.

I am Ofsted Registered Childminder based in the Manton Heights / Brickhill area of Bedford. I am located very close to Edith Cavell Primary School in Bedford and have three children, ranging in ages from teens to adults and have been married to my husband forever. I provide a safe and homely environment, have an extensive range of toys and activities that will help your child to learn, play and most importantly, have fun. I have a fully enclosed back garden and encourage physical exercise and plenty of fun learning experiences through a full range of indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, messy play, dressing up, baking, reading, colouring, puzzles, as well as reading, singing and dancing. I am a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years and am a member of the Children Come First Network. As an Accredited Childminder, I am able to offer Free Nursery Education for 570 hours a year to 3-4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. During the course of the week, I regularly take young children to toddler groups, story and song sessions, nature walks as well as visit Bedford's parks and playgrounds. We also visit a local farm regularly. During school holidays, I take children on outings which includes farms, soft play, museums, libraries, train rides and parks and playgrounds beyond Bedford. My normal operating hours are Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1730 hours, although I may be able to extend these to suit individual family needs. I do not usually childmind in the evenings or on the weekend, but may consider this in special circumstances. I provide healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for all the children and can cater for children who have dietry requirements, food allergies or preferences. I have received gradings of Good (with outstanding areas) by Ofsted in all my previous inspections. Contact Me

I've done first aid training so many times over the years, yet every time there is an opportunity to redo resus training, I'm there doing it again. Hope never to have to deploy these skills but if I do, I know what I have to do for the patient to have the best possible outcome.

Calling all parents, families and carers! Would you know what to do if your baby or child started choking or if they collapsed? The Bedford Resuscitation Department are offering free training for parents/families/carers on Monday 22 April, starting at 10am and 1.30pm, lasting approx. 45 minutes to an hour. No need to book, children are welcome, come along and learn!

Training will take place in the Education Centre, Lower Ground Floor, Cauldwell Centre, Bedford Hospital, we hope to see you there!
