The Sandford School of Dance is a well established school in Bedford which offers the highest quality of training in a variety of dance styles.
Originally established in 1953, it became The Sylvia Bebb School of Ballet & Theatre Arts in 1980 and since that date it has expanded substantially. Sian Sandford was the senior assistant at the school for 19 years before becoming the Principal of Sandford School of Dance, teaching Modern, Tap and Jazz and choreographing festival routines. A huge congratulations to Bernie who performed with the National Youth Ballet in Echoes of Tomorrow, which we had the pleasure of watching in Birmingham yesterday. ✨
She was absolutely excellent, and it was fantastic to see her perform so confidently on stage. The standard of the whole production was incredibly high, making it a truly impressive and inspiring performance.

What a truly special day for our Intermediate Character/Narrative Group, Aberfan.
It was such a privilege to watch them perform on the fantastic stage at the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne, alongside 16 other fabulous groups. Just reaching the All England Dance Finals is an incredible achievement in itself, and they took to the stage with such sincerity, emotion and maturity. We couldn't be prouder. ❤️
Not only did they perform beautifully, but they were also a credit to us backstage—professional, supportive of each other and respectful throughout the day.
A huge thank you to our wonderful chaperones and backstage costume and prop assistants Heather, Amanda & Fearn.
Of course, no trip to Eastbourne would be complete without celebrating afterwards on the beach... and yes, there was even a swim in the sea! 🌊
What a fantastic location for such a prestigious event, and a wonderful way to finish an unforgettable day.

🥉 BRONZE MEDAL AT THE ALL ENGLAND DANCE NATIONAL FINALS! 🥉
What an incredible achievement for our girls yesterday! After qualifying for the All England Dance National Finals – a huge accomplishment in itself – our Small Intermediate Musical Theatre Group competed in an exceptionally strong section of 18 routines... and only went and brought home the Bronze Medal! 🧡
We couldn't be prouder of these amazing girls. They performed with so much character, energy and confidence, delivering strong vocals and fantastic teamwork throughout the routine. Every single one of them gave it their all, and it truly paid off.
These girls have worked incredibly hard for this moment, and what makes it even more special is the bond they share. They are such a supportive, hardworking team, and it's been a joy to watch them grow together.
A huge well done and thank you to Lucia Carrasco Menendez, who choreographed and trained this fantastic number. She did an amazing job, and we're so glad she was here in Eastbourne to watch the performance and celebrate this well-deserved success with the girls.
It was also so lovely to celebrate with you all afterwards on the beach, watching the girls have so much fun in the sea. What a fabulous location for the AED National Finals and such a special way to end an unforgettable day! 🌊☀️
