Well done to Ella Q, who secured 9s in every GCSE subject. ๐โญ๏ธ
Ella commented: โMy results were very unexpected - Iโm really happy and feel like my hard work paid off. The teachers at BGS gave me constant support; I always felt I could go and speak to them about anything I was unsure about, and I really appreciated how often they went out of their way for me. Iโm planning to take A Levels in Maths, History and English, and potentially French as well.โ

Many congratulations to Nora N on securing straight 9s in every GCSE subject. ๐โญ๏ธ
Nora reflected: โIโm really happy and quite surprised - I didnโt think Iโd get 9s, or even an 8 in Further Maths, as I found it quite hard. BGS prepared me really well: the staff were encouraging and supportive, focused on my weak points, and the extra resources and clinics helped me understand where I was going wrong as well as where I was doing well. Drama was particularly helpful because we did past-paper questions every week, with detailed feedback that showed me how to improve. In Maths, my teacherโs support and the repetitive practice really built my problem-solving skills. Iโm going on to study Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and RS at A Level, with medicine in mind.โ

A huge well done to Lily W, who achieved a majority of 9s and 8s. ๐โญ๏ธ
Lily commented: โIโm extremely happy and so relieved to finally get my results - Iโve done exceptionally better than I thought I would. It hasnโt changed my A Level plans: Iโm hoping to study Maths, Latin and Physics, and I was really pleased to get a 9 in Maths. All my teachers have pushed me over the past two years, and I feel I have really strong relationships with them. My Maths teacher, who was also my form tutor, made my day every day - lovely Mrs Barari! Theyโve all been so supportive and really pushed me, so thank you.โ

Many congratulations to Evie I, who achieved 9s across all her GCSE subjects. ๐โญ๏ธ
Evie reflected: โIโm really happy with my results - I was a bit shocked at first, but very pleased. Iโve been at BGS since Year 3, and the support from my teachers has made a real difference. My English teacher helped me a lot, and I was especially proud to tell my maths teacher how well I did in Further Maths - I didnโt expect to do so well, but it turned out really OK. Iโm looking forward to studying Maths, Physics, DT and Further Maths at A Level.โ

Following a summer of wonderful academic results across the IB Diploma and A Levels, we are delighted to celebrate our Year 11 cohort, who have achieved strong GCSE results.
An impressive number of entries were awarded grades 9-8, the equivalent of A*, and around 80% of all grades were awarded 9-6, the equivalent of A*-B.
Mrs Gibson, Headmistress said: โI am very proud of this cohort. They have achieved excellent results through their perseverance, hard work and commitment, alongside the outstanding teaching and support they have received. Every student has her own pathway to success, shaped by her individual strengths, passions and ambitions. The girls should be exceptionally pleased with their achievements, and I look forward to watching them soar as they begin their Sixth Form studies.โ
We will be sharing reflections from our top performing students. Watch this spaceโฆ

Gracie spoke about her next chapter: โI am most excited about the change of pace in moving to London as well as the level of independence and opportunity that comes with studying at UCL.
โI have loved the IB and feel as though it has been the academic highlight of my time at BGS. A large part of this has been down to the amazing IB teaching staff, who have made lessons so much fun, while encouraging us to develop our passion for the subjects we love. I am so grateful for the support and enthusiasm they have given me over the last two years of study and I am excited to carry that same enthusiasm with me into my studies at university.โ
Congratulations, Gracie - we wish you every success as you begin your studies at UCL in Bloomsbury, right in the heart of London.

There were celebrations all round for creative student Laura D, who will be studying Costume Design at UAL: University of the Arts London. Laura achieved A*CC in Textiles, Classics and Drama. ๐๐

Congratulations, Laura - we hope you enjoy all that Londonโs vibrant arts and culture scene has to offer as you begin your next chapter.
