This is LikeMinds Consulting. It was set up and is run by Tom Barwood, with the simple aim of providing a catalyst for the process of transformation within schools. Transformation that is, not change – change is just about more, better or different – which gets us nowhere. Transformation is about re-drawing the face of education as we know it – so that it allows pupils to realise their potential in a dynamic and changing world – and hopefully keeps teachers in the profession! In my current role I've worked with hundreds of schools all over Britain, Europe and parts of the Middle East. These schools have ranged from maintained schools and academies in the most deprived areas, right through to some of the country's highest achieving independent schools. Having spent nearly 15 years as a consultant working in every type of scenario ranging from prisons to primaries, and working with what seems like every type of pupil and teacher, my experience has given me a very interesting view into the world of everything educational. However what makes me truly different is firstly my genuine desire to see everyone fulfil their true potential, and secondly my ability to apply a wide-ranging knowledge and experience with a very refreshing style of thinking. All of this contributes to an ability to change the conversation about learning, regardless of the context.
