We all know the saying about what curiosity did to the cat.
But what if it actually made it stronger, more courageous and better equipped to go out into the world more confident and resilient?
🦁
Being curious is one of the pillars of everything we do Stable and Wild.
We encourage young people to be curious about trying new things, what might happen ifs?
Because curiosity opens our minds to the possibility of learning something new. Something about ourselves, about others, about the world around us and how to be within it. It empowers us and delivers self esteem as a result.
Sometimes being curious gets us into trouble, but that is the most powerful kind of curiosity, because we learn the really important stuff from it.
We experience life when we start to become curious and to grow from those experiences.
Curiosity creates a growth mind set. As adults, it encourages us to keep our minds open and believe in possibilities, no matter how old we are. 👊
So let’s all start to build our inner 🦁 by asking, doing or trying something new that stretches us! 💪
Ooooh…. What might happen!!! 😜

Just pulling out of a field gateway at 1:30 on a Saturday having finished a 40 min conversation with a parent ….
It’s got me thinking about the number of gateways, laybys, grass verges or random spots around the field or farm where I have stopped when my phone has rung, to respond to a call to our small business.
It’s been 20 years and I still feel the same sense of importance and urgency to respond to those enquiring about our service, or just wanting to talk through the challenges faced by them or their child.
My car is littered with scribbled notes I have taken, to remind me of agreed actions or appointments made - but in all honesty I would not have it any other way.
Our business is about being there, available and truly listening to whoever calls ( apart from the call centres that is 😂) it’s about helping where possible and signposting if not. It’s about people, connecting and acting. In these days of AI and chatbots this interaction feels even more vital.
If you run a small business I would love to know if this is something that you do too 😜 ?
Happy Saturday 😊

Reflections…
Marking progression and how far a young person has come is important.
🌳
Important for them to recall their progress and the strategies they now have in their toolbox to draw upon in life.
🦋
Also important for those around them to recognise that too and to offer continued support during the next stages of progression.
🌼
But for us as an it becomes increasingly important to be able to distinguish the difference between what can be achieved in a setting like ours, compared to a more traditional learning environment.
🐛
We don’t replace school, but we can help children to cope with it in a more sustainable way .
