Last Friday, OBMs from across the generations, including many from the Class of 1993, came together at The Bedford Club for a wonderful reunion. Organised by Guy Pilgrim (1982-93) while visiting from New Zealand and hosted by his father, David Pilgrim, the evening was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends. Former staff members David Hope (1990-2001), Richard Chadwick (1971-2009), and Nigel Chinneck (1974-2017) also joined the celebrations. It's fantastic to see the strength of the OBM community and OBMs staying connected across the globe.

It was a pleasure to welcome back Afsheen Khan (2014-25) and Prarthana Arora (2013-24) this morning to speak with current Year 13 students considering Oxbridge applications. Students had the opportunity to take part in an engaging Q&A session, gaining first hand insights into the admissions process, student life at Cambridge, and the experiences of studying these highly competitive subjects.

Afsheen is currently in her second year studying Medicine at Cambridge, while Prarthana is in her third year reading Economics. It was wonderful to see them sharing their advice, experiences, and encouragement with the next generation of applicants, and we are grateful for the time they gave to support our students.

It was wonderful to welcome more than 80 OBMs to our September Social at EFES Social Bar on the Thames last night.

The evening was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new faces, and welcome new members to the OBM community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. We look forward to seeing you at future OBM events!

We're delighted to invite the Classes of 2005 and 2006 back to School for a special reunion evening on Friday 13 November.

Following feedback from many OBMs who were keen to attend but were unable to make the original September date, we've moved the reunion to November and extended the invitation to include the Class of 2005, giving even more OBMs the opportunity to join us.

Enjoy drinks and nibbles, browse memorabilia from the School Archive, take a tour of the School, and reconnect with old friends as you revisit shared memories and celebrate lasting friendships. For those wishing to continue the evening, there will even be the opportunity to hop on the BMS minibus into town after the event.
We hope you'll join us for what promises to be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow OBMs and revisit your time at School.

New In The Spotlight feature!

Jess Read (2009-20) is the latest OBM to feature in our In the Spotlight series. During her time at BMS, Jess represented Great Britain on the international rowing stage before going on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) on a rowing scholarship. Congratulations to our Year 13 students on an outstanding set of A Level results. We are delighted to see students progressing to an impressive range of destinations, including Oxford and Cambridge, a wide range of Russell Group universities and leading institutions across the UK and overseas. Alongside this, we are celebrating those who have secured highly competitive degree apprenticeships with leading employers.
