Did you know this is the larvae of a ladybird 🐞!!

They eat thousands of aphids before they pupate into a ladybird.

Such an important part of nature and just amazing that this creature goes through metamorphosis to become a ladybird with wings!!

So beautiful in the woods today doing a session for Marston Vale Forest School. Birdsong was amazing. Some bright orange and yellow fungi which I need to look up. Ladybird larvae, woodpeckers and the ferns are now taller than me!!

Ermine Moth caterpillars in my garden. So many of them chomping away on the leaves. I’m sure the birds will be enjoying these as a yummy snack and helping to feed their young.

When you are doing Toddler group for Marston Vale Forest School and one of the parents brings you a home made banana and oat muffin 🥰🥰🥰. It was delicious 😋
