The poppy collection completed by our Stitch and Social Club is coming along very nicely! Yesterday there were 17 students and 6 staff in attendance. 🤩

These will be sold during Remembrance Week with all the proceeds going to the Royal British Legion. 😊

We are very excited for tonight and are looking forward to seeing prospective Year 7 students and their parents/carers.

Parking on site is limited and therefore, where possible, please park considerably in our lay-bys and walk onto site.

The countdown to our open evening has started! We are looking forward to welcoming potential new Year 7s and their families into our school to showcase our amazing facilities and all we have to offer. 🤩

Today, our new signs were installed at the front of school and for Main Reception. 🤩

Our school colours are better reflected and the main sign is more visible for visitors upon their arrival. We also have a more accurate list of our amazing facilities so visitors know where to go. 😍

Congratulations to Mr Snowdon, Mr Marland, Mr Marin, Mr Johnson and honorary member of staff Mr Boyde on walking round Lake Windermere on Saturday. 🥳

They have raised £767 so far for Cancer Research UK, but would be happy to still receive more donations. If we can get that to £1000 that would be amazing (https://www.justgiving.com/page/mark-rutherford-school-lake-windermere?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=LFCFRUK_Day5_FT_LB&mi_u=42193723&mi_ecmp=LFCFRUK_Day5_FT_LB)! 😍

In total, they walked 46 kilometres in 12 hours. This totalled 61,000 steps, 5,000 calories and a number of blisters! 🤩

Just one of our personal development and wellbeing activities for both staff and students. 😊

Poppies are currently being made in preparation from Remembrance Day. After that, the focus moves to hats for premature babies. 😍

We are always open to donations of spare wool and/or knitting/crochet needles if there are any at home that are not being used. 😊

Five members of staff are walking round the perimeter of Lake Windermere a week on Sunday.
