Tiny Tribe Childminding

Today has been emotional and it's hard to find the words now we've finished. Being a childminder isn't just a job, it's a way of life.
Over the years we've welcomed many children (and their families) into our home and our family. We've watched and nurtured as little babies grew into energetic toddlers, then into confident preschoolers. We've been there for the laughter, tears, first words, first steps, toilet training, grazed knees, transitions to school and everything in between. As a lone worker I've kept up with rapidly changing early years legislation, Ofsted requirements and inspections, and government funded childcare admin headaches (if you know, you know!)
It's been a massive joy and privilege to help raise up and educate little ones, and to offer a second home and family to them. I'm proud beyond words of my own children for sharing their mum and their home every day, welcoming all the children happily and playfully. I'm also hugely proud of every single Tiny Tribe member, past and present, and the magic family dynamic that we've shared over the years. A big shout out to Little Hearts Childminding for being the best childminding buddy I could've asked for over the last couple of years too, it would've been a lot less fun without you 💕
Thank you to every family I've worked with for all your support and appreciation, kind words and generous gifts. I'm wishing lots of luck to the tribe as you start your next big adventures at school and preschool. Remember that being you is your superpower 🤩
We'll keep this page running for the memories, but now it's time for our family to start our next chapter in our new home. It'll feel strange (and quiet!) to only have our 2 children around, without the daily addition of 3 little ones ❤️

Join us in Harpur Square for a special Rhyme Time!

On Friday 25th July, Rhyme Time favourite, Tom, will be singing some classics from our regular library Rhyme Time sessions, and we hope you'll join us! We'll be outside the Harpur Suite from 11.30am for half an hour, sharing songs and spreading the word about the Summer Reading Challenge.

In the event of bad weather we'll move the session inside to Bedford Central Library ⛈️

This week we are thinking about school readiness!

The information this week is not intended to overwhelm you and it will not apply to all children, but we wanted to share some ideas of things you can be thinking about ahead of this important transition time.

Last week was all about jungle animals and our big highlight was a day trip to 🐆 where we met some amazing animals! 😍

🏅 Sports Days 🏅
We enjoyed a sunny week with not one but two Sports Days, so that none of our part timers missed out! They all did brilliantly, tried their hardest and were rewarded with medals and certificates 🤩
