In this episode of I take a look at a classic Children's book and add commentary as a “modern British person”. Let's see if the author's writing of Goldilocks & The Three Bears goes down well with me 😜.
Active task: 1. Listen to the episode 2. Comment your answer to the questions I ask at the end of the episode!

Hello guys! Got something a little different for you today!
After admiring my short shorts 🩳, the tarn (body of water) nestled in the valley, and the rugged countryside of the Lake District, swipe right to read a gorgeous little poem by one of Britain’s best-loved poets: William Wordsworth. ✍️
This poem, which is widely known as Golden Daffodils, was inspired by the beautiful scenery of the Lake District, and in particular, a ‘host’ of golden daffodils which brought great joy to William Wordsworth, who grew up close to The Lakes. 🏡 🌅 🌼
✍️🧐 My student, Carlos, who has a real knack for languages, enjoyed this poem so much that he decided to do his very own translation of the poem into Spanish, his native tongue, and you’ll find this excellent translation in the penultimate image of this post. 🇪🇸
🎶 If you like poetry, songs or anything artistic that involves the use of English; I recommend translation and reading poetry as an activity to not only revel in the beauty of language but also reinforce new vocabulary and memorise it over time! 🎶
You’ll never forget the words to your favourite songs, will you? Well the same happens with poetry!
Hope you enjoy the poem and my pale little chicken legs.
Much love,
Harry
