As of yesterday, I've given up my Ofsted registration in preparation for a new adventure in Australia. Thanks so much to all the Little Wombats and their families who made childminding so much fun. I will miss you all and hope that you will keep in touch to tell me all about your own adventures.

Due to a cancellation, I have space on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week for a child who fancies a few days of baking, science activities, art and outings. Please share with grown up friends who are ready for an end of school holiday break!

After telling myself that we have enough Christmas books, I just couldn't resist these two! Beautiful illustrations and words with a lovely message of kindness, hope and celebrating being unique. I can't wait to share these with the children.

We've been talking a lot about feelings this week so we read The Colour Monster and mixed up these colourful bottles. The children loved mixing the colours to see what would happen and experimenting with the different sounds that they could make by filling their bottles to different levels.

With the weather being so beautiful today we decided to explore a local nature reserve and enjoy the spectacular autumn colours.🍂🍁🍂
We made some transient art inspired by our Leaf Man book and brought some leaves back for the older children to enjoy after school.
I love seeing the children using their imaginations and skills to create amazing things inspired by nature 🌳🍂✂️🍄🎨✏️🍂🌳

We often take our inspiration from nature, and with it being time to cut the lavender back in the garden we thought it was a great opportunity to practise scissor skills and get messy and creative 🌿🌼🌷🌿
The children loved getting their hands dirty and made some amazing creations.
