What an exiting day today at our local nature reserve , we spotted a heron up close , fed the swans and ducks , then we spotted a giant terrapin on a log in the water !!!!
The children collected sticks to throw into the running steam , all walked for the whole morning , so proud of them for trying so hard

Today the children made their own lunch, selecting the toppings to go on their individual pizzas, we talked about portion size and which foods are good for us, the children used tools to pick up the toppings and then helped to put them on the tray ready for the oven. We discussed how the food may change after it had been heated

The children had the most fun running around the woods, kicking fallen leaves , jumping in puddles and getting really muddy. Also more importantly searching out the snowmen , who were beautifully painted in the style of the 12 days of Christmas , so an opportunity to count , looking for the items on each snowman.
What a fabulous place Anglesey abbey is.
The children enjoyed a hot lunch in the restaurant , and we were complimented on how well behaved all our little ones were. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

What a busy summer holiday we have had, we’ve visited lots of interesting places, seen lots of different animals and wildlife. The children have experienced lots of sensory play and lots of exercise.
But most importantly they have had lots of fun 🥰🥰🥰

What a busy first week of the holidays. The children have been to the Olympic Games, woodland walk, breakfast at the garden centre. A spot of construction and some games outdoors. Then a picnic at the park.
Looking forward to what next week will bring. Hopefully the weather gods will be kind to us # #

We only went in to look at the plants that the bees would like!!!!
So many opportunities for new words and discuss the world around us and beyond

Last week we had the good fortune to go and see kirsty’s ducklings , the children also got to hold them.

Then we learnt all about how to keep our teeth clean and healthy , what is good to eat and what’s not !!! The names of our teeth and who helps us take care of them
