⭐️ Sleep Success Story ⭐️
"Since my daughter was born, she never slept well; my boys were much better, so we labelled her a “bad sleeper”, I was trying my best to manage her with my limited knowledge. I was up every 2-3 hours; constant demand and sleep deprivation made me bitter and depressed. The crisis came in November, when she turn 7 months old, I was so desperate I thought I will try sleep coaching but I didn’t expect much improvement. I was so wrong; after just a few nights, we have her sleeping consistently for 12h ( I wake her up for 1 feed). She falls asleep alone in her room, the same with day naps. My life turned around, and I’m getting my sanity back. If you struggle, you must try this, trust the process, stick to the plan, my daughter is so much happier now, flourishing baby, completely different child. I definitely recommend Emily."

⭐️Sleep Success Story ⭐️
At 8 months, I reached out to Emily after my daughter’s sleep significantly regressed with multiple night wakes, feeding to sleep and fighting nap times at 6 months. Emily was quick to respond and even called me from holiday!! She understood my needs straight away. Me and my partner had a meeting with Emily where she set us a plan and talked us through the techniques. We then chose a date to start and off we went. Emily was available throughout the day and night, which was a great support. Without her it would have been easy to give up, but after a few days of putting in the work, she finally slept ALL NIGHT! We now have a great nap routine, which allows me to make plans but also feels like I get a break whilst she sleeps. My daughter is now able to be put down awake and nods off herself. If she does wake in the night, which is rare, I barely have to do anything or get out of bed as she is able to settle herself back.
If you’re thinking sleep training…DO IT! Emily has been a life saver!!

Do you have an ultra alert child❓️🙃
How can you tell⁉️
🌸 Often, they reach their developmental milestones on the early side.
🌸 They may be wide-eyed babies who appear to be sussing everything and everyone out!
🌸 They may be more cautious, particularly of new people.
🌸 They may really challenge you at times, but they grasp things quickly.
🌱Ultra alert babies usually require even more consistency and routine than other babies!🌱
I'd love to hear if you think you may have an alert or ultra alert, little one? 💬
Do you think it is having an impact on their sleep? (Super common! You are not alone.) 😴

✨️THE TRUTH ABOUT TEETHING ✨️
🦷 Teething rarely starts before 6m
🦷Once the tooth has cut through the gum, the pain will ease considerably.
🦷 Teething pain should last no longer than 3-4 days.
🦷 The sucking action (feeding) actually can intensify pain as it brings the blood to the surface of the gums (so avoid giving extra feeds purely for comfort).
🦷 It is absolutely true that our babies experience discomfort when they are cutting a new tooth. However, the symptoms are usually very mild, and therefore, any disturbance to their sleep is also very mild. If your child is experiencing major sleep issues, it’s more likely to be something else.
Has teething impacted your little ones sleep?

Self-settling simply refers to your little one’s ability to go from awake and alert to fast asleep, without any support from you. Exactly how we, as adults, go to sleep.
Firstly, I am in no way saying that your little one MUST be able to self-settle at any particular age. All of us have our limits when it comes to sleep and if you are content feeding or rocking your baby to sleep then there is nothing wrong with that and you are more than qualified, as their parent, to make this decision. You are not going to damage your child in any way if you don’t teach them to self-settle until they are older or until they naturally do it themselves.
However, some of us, including my husband and I as working parents, NEED our sleep to function on any acceptable level. It is so important to us, our mental well-being, our relationship, and our parenting, that we were getting enough sleep.
Unfortunately, “Self-settling” is a term that is often misunderstood and sometimes even associated with hard regimented cry-it-out sleep training. 👎🏼

🌻Be Kind 🌻
You never know how many times someone was up in the night...
This is probably something that I never really considered or appreciated prior to having my first child and becoming a working mum.
..something that I will never underestimate ever again!
Thankfully, after working with an amazing gentle baby sleep coach, things got easier! 🙌💙
Are you struggling to juggle it all at work? Would a decent night's sleep make things easier? If so, pop me DM to see how I can help you make this happen 🌸💤

❓️Does 'sleep training have to involve crying❓️
The truth is, gently teaching your little one to fall asleep independently is the key to achieving a good night’s sleep. However, thanks to the internet, self-settling has now become a term associated with cry it out sleep training techniques.
But it doesn’t have to be this way!
