It’s time for our 2026 leaver, to share her Redford memories ❤️:

How long have you been part of Redfords?
For 6 years and I’ve been lucky enough to take all three classes!

What is your earliest memory?
A lot of online group devising on zoom, which was always chaotic, and working in the covid location before we moved back to the school. I remember a huge emphasis on acting through eyes, eyebrows and physicality due to everyone wearing masks!

What is your favourite memory?
It has always been our group MT piece ‘Money’, but since then I’d have to say my first and last summer course this year has been pretty memorable!

What has been your biggest achievement?
I’m particularly proud of being invited to the Bedfordshire Gala in the last 2 years and being fortunate enough to take the massive trophy home.

What has being part of Redfords meant to you?
It has become a second family to me, I will always be grateful for the relationships and connections I’ve built. More importantly, it has continuously given me a drive and motivation to learn more, rehearse purposefully and perform to the highest standards. When your lessons become the highlights of your week, Redfords has become integral to your life.

Do you have any advice?
Be brave and keep going, even when you’re taken out of your comfort zone because that’s where the biggest growth will happen! Think outside the box (Redfords don’t carry dead wood) and embrace every aspect and style of performance you can. Have fun and trust the people around you. DO NOT stand in a straight line!

Do you plan to continue with drama?
This September, I’m doing the Acting Foundation course at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and fingers crossed that will lead to the opportunity to get my degree in Drama. After that, the dream is to be on the stage and screen, but we’ll see where life takes me!

How would you sum up your experience?
The most important thing I could have done! It allowed me the opportunity for massive personal growth and taught me the most valuable lessons. The group sessions were supportive, engaging and creative and my one to one lessons were really fun and enjoyable! Once a Redford, always a Redford!

It’s always such a treat to catch up with former Redfords and their families and last night we got to spend a lovely evening reminiscing with .polhill and .e_ and their gorgeous mums, Lucy Copeman and .e_

Add to that a surprise hug with .wells_ and and we had a lovely Redfordy time! ❤️
