Well done to Tilly, Thea, Alice and Penny who swam for the school at the English Schools championships Competition last night in Watford. The girls represented us so well, taking part in the medley and freestyle relay. They swam their hearts out against some really strong competition. We await the results but we are super proud of them for how they attacked the competition with such determination and enthusiasm! Well done girls!

WOW! What a brilliant afternoon of cross country today by our students who took part in the first league race at Alameda Middle School. 72 students eagerly taking part in cross country on a Friday after school is an absolutely incredible record! We have been amazed by the enthusiasm for the sport the last few weeks and long may it continue! Every single student who took part gave it their absolute all and we saw some impressive individual performances, as well as students putting themselves outside of their comfort zone, not to mention the heart warming team spirit on show!

Special mentions to the following top five finishers in their races-

KS3 girls- Poppy 2nd, Bethan 3rd, Dorothy 4th, Felicity 5th.

KS2 girls- Eva 1st, Bobbi 2nd, Phe Phe 3rd, Bonnie 5th.

KS3 boys- Ethan 2nd, Parker 4th, Ben 5th.

KS2 boys- Albie 1st, Teddy 2nd.

There were also SO many other top finishers, too many to list! Regardless of positions, we could not be prouder, everyone performed to such a great standard in a really competitive field, as well as battling the HUGE hill they all had to climb!

Really well done! Keep coming to running clubs and enjoying your running everyone!

Well done to the year 8 netball B team who played Alameda tonight, in what we knew would be a challenging game! The girls started to improve throughout the quarters, especially in the last quarter where they scored their most goals!πŸ‘ However, it was Alameda who took the win! Well done to the year 7A football team who navigated their way through a very tricky national cup tie with Arnold. After a poor first half that Arnold dominated the boys came out for the second half 1-0 down. The boys dug deep and came out fighting, equalising through Aaron. A goalless extra time meant the game went to penalties where all 9 of our penalty takers scored before Tristan made a big save to send us through to round 2.

*Double update*
Last week the year 8 A team started their season away in Huntingdon in the national cup. In a really competitive game it was still dead locked after extra time at 4-4. The boys held their nerves to win 3-0 on penalties and go through to the next round.

This week they started their league campaign on the road again away to Woodlands in an action pack game, the boys eventually ran out 6-2 winners. Two really good wins to start the season.

A solid 3-3 draw to start the season for the y7B football team v Holywell. The boys started strong and put some lovely passing moves together but the opposition kept fighting back. Great performances from Rudy at the back and Vinnie upfront.
