Ecdatlar.
Edatlar her zaman bir ismin veya deyimin başka bir şeyle ilişkisini belirtmek için kullanılır. Bir edat kullanırken, her zaman ondan önce özne ve fiil olmalı ve onu bir isim ile takip etmelisiniz. Asla bir fiil ile takip etmemelisin.

Today I would like to give some fact about my Country Turkey.
First of all, The founder of Turkey is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He is one of the great Leader in the world. Turkey's official name is Republic of Turkey and upon the declaration of the republic on 29 October 1923.
Turkey is not an arab country like Iran or Suidi arabia. It is a muslim country but our language is not arabic. Turkish language is spoken in my country. Unfortunately it is common mistake that people make some times. Confusing Turkish culture with arap culture. We are Turk not arap the only common side we have is our religion and hooly book.

Many people also have wrong knowladge about Turkey's capital city. The capital city of Turkey is Ankara.
Not İstanbul. Istanbul's old name was old Constantinople.
Turkey has EU's largest young population.
Istanbul was built on seven hills and it is one of the most magnificiant and attactive city in the word.
The very old and original name of İstanbul was called Byzantine.
The "Turquoise" name comes from Turkey. Turguoise mean Turkish stone.
The national sport of Turkey is oil wrestling.
Turkey has an impressive self-sufficient agriculture and also has great history past. .
The Turks love drinking Turkish tea and eating Turkish bread. The another important fact that there are more than 30 ethnic languages Turkey has.
The Grand Bazaar is one of the most beautiful old bazaar to be seen. Whose foundation was laid in 1461, resembles a giant labyrinth with its aesthetic design.
The historical shopping district, which has nearly 60 streets and more than 3600 stores, covers a total area of ​​30,700 square meters. It can be expressed as the attraction point of Istanbul tuorism.
Turkish language is not difficult to learn, but it is different.
The other iconic image is in İstanbul is Maiden's tower in Üsküdar.

Hope these fact will give you some ideas about my country.
Before Learning another language it is good to be known some important fact about the country..

Was, to be fiilinin geçmiş zaman ekidir.

Was yardımcı fiili tekil, ve were yardımcı fiili çoğul, past continuous zaman kipi cümlelerinde ve aynı zamanda isim cümlelerinin içerisinde kullanılmaktadır. ... “was” yardımcı fiili, “am” ve “is” ; “were” yardımcı fiili ise “are” yardımcı fiilinin geçmiş zamanlarıdır.

Örnek.
♦️I am very upset.
Ben çok kızgınım.

♦️ I was very upset.
Ben çok kızgındım.

♦️ She is at the hospital now because she is not well.
O şu an hastanade çünkü iyi değil. (is, tekil şahıs eki)

♦️ She was at the hospital yedterday because she was not well.
O dün hastanedeydi, çünkü iyi değildi.(was, tekil şahıs eki geçmiş zaman)

Cümlelerine baktığınızda farkı görebiliyorsunuz.

Ayrıca çoğul cümlelerde (were) geçmiş zaman,
(ekini) yada (are) şimdiki zaman ekini kullanıyoruz.

Örnek

♦️The students are at the library.
Öğrenciler kütüphanedeler.
(yani are eki ile şimdiki zaman çoğul eki kullanıldı.

♦️The student were at the library last Monday.
(burada da were eki ike yibe çoğul lakin geçmiş zaman eki kullanıldı.
