Uncle Ronnie is heading to Shropshire, and the paddock will never be the same.

Ronnie Mac, motocross’s biggest, loudest, most unapologetically larger-than-life character, is chomping at the bit to race at the most prestigious vets event- the VMXdN this year held at the picturesque and iconic Hawkstone Park venue in Shropshire. Known for its rolling Shropshire scenery and brutally demanding terrain, Hawkstone Park is one of the sport’s most iconic venues, and a fitting stage for a man who doesn’t do anything small.

Ronnie will race a CR250, built specially for the event by Steve Denton, widely regarded as one of the finest bike builders in the country. True to form, Ronnie says he’s showing up to drink beer and kick ass, and he’s all out of beer. Most people know Uncle Ronnie as a novelty redneck act, but rest assured, he is a very accomplished racer in his own right. Though his on-track persona is all fun and games, he is deadly serious when the gate drops.

Fans will get the full Ronnie Mac experience at VMXdN. He’ll be on hand for autograph sessions throughout the event, with après-beers on ice for the post-race celebrations. Ronnie Mac merchandise will also be available to purchase at the official on-site merchandise shop, so fans can show their support in style.

Beyond the pure entertainment and racing action from Ronnie Mac, the VMXdN weekend itself is unlike anything else on the motocross calendar. Expect a packed paddock of legendary riders from across the generations, wheel-to-wheel racing on a track that has tested champions for decades, and a festival atmosphere that blends nostalgia with genuine, fiercely contested competition. From the iconic Hawkstone Hill to the roar of two-stroke machinery echoing across the Shropshire countryside, it’s a celebration of motocross heritage as much as it is a race weekend, with equal parts spectacle, community, and full-throttle racing you simply won’t find anywhere else.

Tickets for the 2026 VMXdN at Hawkstone Park are on sale now. Don’t miss your chance to see Ronnie Mac race live alongside a star-studded line-up and racers past and present.

Team USA are coming in swinging and is determined to keep the number 1 plate at the most prestigious vets race in the world - the VMXdN Hawkstone. The four-day extravaganza starts on Thursday, August 27th and goes on to the conclusion of the races on Sunday afternoon. The event has attracted some of the most notable names in motocross history, and this year is no different.

One such participant who is sure to be at the front is Minnesota-born Jeremy Martin. He went pro in 2012, racing for top teams Factory Star Yamaha & Geico Honda. He secured two outdoor national championships in the 250 class, back-to-back in 2014 and 2015. Martin also boasts 25 supercross main-event and national wins under his belt and ranks fifth on the all-time 250-win list.

Since his last professional race at the Millville national (his family own the track) in 2025, which he won, he has gone onto being a long-distance runner, so he is fit and eager and ever so keen to come and race the famous Hawkstone circuit, which if you do your homework, is ever so similar in elevation and soil conditions to the Millville circuit he excels at. You would be brave to bet against him.

Martin will race one of the DocWob Pro Circuit tuned 2002 YZ 250 race bikes, with Tony Neary on the spanners. He has a stock YZ 250 as a practice bike at home, so it’s not going to be a big shock to jump on the steel-framed bike, though it is 24 years older; they ride much the same.

With just two months to go, VMXdN Hawkstone already has an awesome rider line-up, with plenty more top names still to be announced. Anticipation is at an all-time high for the most talked-about race on the British MX calendar, brought to you by The Range as VMXdN relocates to the historic and iconic Hawkstone Park, Shropshire Grand Prix venue.

Promoters are full steam ahead with planning, including two newly acquired camping fields adjacent to the track. With ticket sales already over 300% up on 2025 numbers, this one is shaping up to be epic. Don’t forget there’s still a limited number of the new VIP slots available, situated on the terraces between the famous hill and the start, perfect for sitting in your awning and watching the racing in comfort.

Make the most of the bank holiday weekend, with gates opening at midday on Thursday, August 27th for weekend campers. There’s plenty to keep you entertained before the racing gets underway, including the trade village, open paddocks to meet your MX heroes and grab an autograph, a track walk (that hill is steeper than it looks), and a beer tent with a big-name DJ. And of course, don’t miss the Show’N’Shine display on Friday, which makes every two stroke fan drool.
VMXdN is the event where legends past and present from around the globe take to the start line to go bar to bar on era-correct two-strokes, just like the golden era of ’90s motocross, with racing action across Saturday, August 29th, and Sunday, August 30th.
