🎭 What a show!

A huge congratulations to our fabulous Form 5 and Form 4 cast, who brought The Little Mermaid Jr. to life with a truly spectacular performance over the last couple of evenings!

From the colourful characters and confident acting to the wonderful singing, dancing and magical moments on stage, every pupil shone brightly.

Supported by the fantastic Form 3 choir, this enchanting production involved over 75 children, showcasing an incredible amount of talent, teamwork and dedication.

A big thank you to all the staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the magic happen, and to all the families who came along to cheer on our performers. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity, confidence and collaboration.

⭐What a wonderful world under the sea⭐

Here at Aysgarth School, we encourage our pupils to take on leadership positions across all areas of school life. Today, we're delighted to recognise our new Event Monitors, who are working with Mrs Anderson to help coordinate fun events throughout the term for pupils and staff, alike.

First up is an inter-house table tennis tournament - we can't wait to see some friendly competition in action! 🏓

At Aysgarth, we give children the space to be themselves, the confidence to try new things, and the encouragement to discover who they might become.

It’s a place where children have the time to be young – unplugged, outdoors and free to explore, discover and grow – while laying the foundations for bright and successful academic futures.

Join us for our Open Day on Saturday 10 October and discover what makes Aysgarth such a special place. Meet our exceptional staff, explore our outstanding learning and boarding facilities, and see how we help every child to thrive, grow in confidence and discover their potential.

Interactive science at its best today as pupils tested Archimedes' principle to calculate density. Part of their topic on measurement, pupils tested regular and irregular shapes, including their own heads. Such fun! 💡

Science at Aysgarth nurtures curiosity and encourages children to question and explore the world around them. We have two dedicated science labs that allow learners to research and experiment ensuring that the subject is actively brought to life.

With around 60 activities on offer each week at Aysgarth, girls and boys have plenty of chance to explore new interests, develop existing talents and build character beyond the classroom.

Amongst other activities, this weekend saw pupils try their hand at rural pursuits including clay pigeon shooting, equestrian (NSEA) at Northallerton and polo at Bramham Polo Academy.

Well done to those trying an activity for the first time and congratulations to those excelling in their hobbies.

A fun filled weekend all round! 🌟🎉

All aboard for Pre-Prep 1! 🚂

As part of learning about how railways shaped travel and daily life, Pre-Prep 1 recently travelled from Bedale to Scruton on the heritage Wensleydale Railway to experience what life was like over 100 years ago.

From learning about the roles of the ticketmaster and guard, to discovering how parcels were sent by train; learning was brought to life with hands on opportunities for all the children. The adventure ended with lunch at Leeming Bar station, watching the railway world go by.

A fantastic day of history and exploration.

It has been a busy and exciting day of fixtures, with our U8 & U9 Hockey and Rugby Teams welcoming Durham School, while our U12B and  U13B Rugby  teams took on Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley.

For our Pre-Prep U8s, it was a particularly special occasion - their first-ever home fixture! 🏠✨ A brilliant opportunity to experience the excitement of representing the school, playing in front of supportive parents, and putting into practice all they have been learning.

It was also a great opportunity for our U12B and U13B teams to test themselves against strong opposition, showcasing the commitment and competitive spirit that continues to grow across our Prep School teams. 💪

A huge well done to all our pupils who represented the school, and a big thank you to Durham School and Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley for some great fixtures.

A super day of Pre-Prep and Prep School sport -  and a real sign of things to come! 🏉🏑
