Curiosity Cottage, based in Aiskew, provides free community classes for families with children. Watch them get lost in sensory play?

Curiosity Cottage is based in Aiskew at the parish and provides different and unique classes tailored to the age and development stage of your little one. Do you want to learn more about your child’s physical development? Relax whilst connecting through baby massage? Whichever it is, we have the right class for you. Explore our classes section for a more detailed description, and we look forward to creating our Curious Community. CLASSES

🍁 Autumn 🍁

One of my favourite themes is Autumn, there are so many learning opportunities right on our doorstep!

The falling leaves, changing colours, pumpkins, conkers, the list is endless. Obviously this is all better explored outside but I collected as much as I could for the class so our little curious learners could play 🥰🍁

They really enjoyed sticking everything they could find onto our pumpkin, it was wonderful to see 🥹

This was a chance to introduce new language to some of our littlest learners such as:

“Look at our bright, orange pumpkin! Isn’t it heavy”

“The leaves are so crunchy”

“This pine cone smells like the forest”

“Which item didn’t stick to the pumpkin, why could this be?”

This last question is great for older children as they have to determine what the problem is. Is it too heavy? The wrong shape? 🤔

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone next week 🤗

🚘 Transport week 🚘

Sorry these are so late 🫠 but what a lovely time we had exploring all things that move!

The paw patrol trucks were a hit and the children loved rolling trucks down the pipe and them crashing into the sand 🤗

Such a good opportunity to explore mathematical language, fast & slow, too big or too small 😁 Clever cookies.

More pictures tomorrow of our Autumn theme 🍁🍂🍁 My favourite!

🤩 What a lovely session we had on Monday 🤩

It was all things colour 🌈 and the children enjoyed mixing the edible paint together to see what would happen. Of course they had a taste as well 🤪

They stayed surprisingly clean which was a bonus for the grown ups as well 👏

See you tomorrow 🥰

⭐️ SO MUCH FUN ⭐️

Sorry im so late uploading these lovely pictures. For some reason I’m behind on life admin and one of my children has started school! I should have more time 😅

We’ve had a fab couple of weeks exploring animals and then zooming off to the moon. 🌕 It’s always nice to see how the children explore the areas that I set up.

I can’t wait to see everyone on Monday for more play! 🥰
